Priya who is a mother of two, started her career as a Banker in Dubai, where she won multiple awards but what stood out was her style of working stress free even during times of work pressure and this is where she could connect the dots with her daily yoga practices.
Priya’s interest in Yoga dates to her childhood with her grandfather practicing it daily. Seeing him perform the Asanas and Breathing techniques with such ease sown the first seeds of interest in her. A turning point in her life came where Yoga helped her was when she met with an accident, in which she got L4 and L5 compressed and developed Cervical issue. However, Self-Belief, positivity, and consistency with Yoga, made the recovery process smooth and gradual and despite all the odds stacked against her, she was able to recover from this.
According to her she draws inspiration from her grand uncle Ayurveda Acharya Vaidyan KGK Panicker (Kollasseril Govindan Kunju Panicker), a doyen in the field of Ayurveda and founder of Kerala Ayurveda Pharmacy Limited-KAPL (currently Kerala Ayurveda Limited) in 1945 at Aluva, Kochi.
After being a consistent practitioner of Yoga for more than two decades and having experienced the numerous benefits through Yoga and Meditation, she left the corporate career and decided to dedicate her life and career fully to Yoga and Wellness Industry. Inspired by this, she completed the rigorous 500 Hours Teacher Training, Kids Yoga, Yin Yoga Training, Advanced Theta Healing. Thirst for more knowledge and learning led her to attain specialization in scoliosis, rehab and injury conditions, got registered with Yoga Alliance International and Reps and expertise in Pre/Post Natal, body detoxification through Jal Neti ,Vaman, & Shankprakshalan.
Since then, she has carried out various workshops for corporate and social organizations like Century Financials, Junior Chamber International, Yoga Retreats at Sofitel Palm Jumeirah to name a few. She believes in the transformative healing, rejuvenating, restorative and smiling powers of Yoga to support and encourage people to step on the mat once and then keep returning back. Her practice is built on passion with peaceful, compassionate energy which not only shapes how we treat our friends and relatives with smiles but also how we interact with neighbours and strangers with a smile. By bringing this ancient practice as a service to others, she wants to create a better tomorrow and make a difference.
